Culinary queen, celebrity nutritionist and Waiakea Ambassador, Serena Poon, has crafted some seriously drool-worthy acai bowl recipes for you to experiment with this summer. She cites protein smoothie bowls as one of her favorite quick go-to's after a workout or even as a mid-day meal. Considering the fact that they are nutrient dense and bursting with flavors, Serena loves the energy boost that comes with every bowl. Plus, they're so visually stunning that you almost don't want to eat them! Regardless, how can you not feel good after having something so healthy and delicious?! Serena's Favorite 5 minute, blender friendly bowl recipes

Dragon Fruit Bowl: 

1 scoop organic raw plant-based protein

1/4 cup organic cashew milk (or other nut mylk)

1/2 medium organic avocado 

1/2 cup frozen organic mixed berries

1/4 cup of organic fresh pink pitaya 

(Optional: 1 tsp of raw organic lucuma powder; 1 tsp raw organic camu camu)

Acai Bowl: 

1 scoop organic raw plant-based protein


1/4 cup organic cashew milk

1/2 medium organic avocado 

1/4 cup organic mixed berries

1 packet of organic frozen Acai 

(Optional: 1 tsp of raw organic lucuma powder; 1 tsp raw organic camu camu)

Protein Free Acai Bowl:

2 frozen organic bananas 

1/4 frozen organic blueberries 

1 frozen organic Acai packet

Splash of coconut water or nut milk 

 

Final Step for each bowl

Blend with love and top with your favorite superfoods! Serena loves using cacao or gluten-free granola for a little bit of crunch, berries for color subtle tartness but anything is perfect.
