Waiakea Makes the 2017 Inc. 5000 List for Fastest Growing Companies in America

Waiakea is proud to announce its inclusion in the top 500 of Inc. 5000's list of the fastest growing companies in America!

Celebrating an impressive 1,022 percent growth over the past three years, Waiakea will be among the elite companies honored at this year’s Inc. 5000 Conference & Gala on Oct. 10 in Palm Desert, California. “It is such a great honor to be included in the prestigious Inc. 5000 List,” said Ryan Emmons, founder of Waiakea. “We were among the first in our industry to implement an ethically and environmentally-friendly business model—it feels amazing to see that somewhat 'unconventional' move pay off. I am incredibly proud of where we began and what we have achieved, and I am very much looking forward to what new accomplishments lie with the future of this brand.”

Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water introduced a progressive triple bottom line business model built on a variety of healthy, eco-friendly, and ethical initiatives. The alkaline water brand is also the very first bottled beverage brand to hold a CarbonNeutral® certification, thanks to its net zero carbon footprint. In addition to an award-winning taste, Waiakea also boasts 100 percent RPET bottles, low-emission shipping, and sustainable sourcing. The company regularly participates in a series of reforestation and carbon offset programs, as well as various social initiatives, both in its native Hawaii and around the world.

“Seeing our name listed amid America’s fastest growing companies is only further proof there is more than one way to run a successful business,” says Emmons. “At Waiakea, we have shown that it is absolutely possible for a business to flourish and still maintain its moral responsibilities to this planet and its inhabitants in the process.” Annually, Inc. Magazine ranks the nation’s leading companies according to their percentage revenue growth over a three-year span. This year, tens of thousands of companies were considered.
